Stanley Comeback Lunchboxes

This product was an exploration into heritage, relevance and reach. It was also a joy to design. The iconic shape of the classic Stanley metal lunchbox was made modern with soft-goods. This product was one of the first products I proposed for a new line that would bring modern materials, processes and relevant features to a heritage brand. The shape of the original lunchbox is iconic and functional, but steel has limitations in a modern lifestyle. For this line we used modern materials like molded EVA, TPU coated fabric, mono-filament mesh and YKK zippers. The bag is now soft, light and packable. The addition of a shoulder strap brings a hands-free carry option and blurs the line between everyday bag and lunch. The foldable interior dividers offer organization and encourage customization.
