Stanley Quencher Carry All
This product was an example of thinking and designing strategically. When I joined the brand it was clear the Quencher was defining the Stanley product identity and experience and with over 3 million cups sold. In a effort to service the existing Quencher customers, I designed an accessory that would allow these existing Stanley superfans to customize their favorite cup. I identified one of the pain points of the Quencher was the need to always carry it upright by the handle. This wrap allowed for the addition of a shoulder strap and offered a truly hands free experience. Additionally, through user research we identified that the Quencher was becoming part of EDC (Every Day Carry) and sought to provide storage of essentials on the go. We coined the phrase, Phone Keys, Wallet, STANLEY and designed pockets, a key clip and pass through for sunglasses so that users could have a complete user experience. This product uniquely understood the strategic opportunities for the brand and authentically launched it’s soft-goods product line. I designed this product with Vignesh Chari and Graeme Waggoner from an idea to a sketch on printer paper to CAD, tech pack and in-factory commercialization. It has won a GOOD design and Core77 design awards.
