YETI Hopper Backflip

The Hopper BackFlip 24 was an evolution of our successful Hopper Flip Coolers. This product was designed to provide fully hands-free carry with dedicated, ergonomic shoulder straps and removable hip belt. I oversaw the complete product design and development from idea, to sketch, to tech pack, to in-factory product development. This product has been a success for the YETI brand. The design shows a nuanced expansion of the Hopper line by listening to user needs and designing a product that provides utility and expanded the brand into it’s first backpack.
